Wind-up music boxes have been around since the 19th century. Their long history began as hand-driven musical boxes which then evolved into wind-up powered musical boxes. All the use has to do is wind up the device using a special key until it tightens. Once you release pressure on the wind up key, music will begin to play. It is able to play a note when the set of pins strike the steel comb which produces sound. Each teeth of the steel comb has its own note with which when struck plays a specific note.

Richard first started offering a different game to Wizards of the Coast, an American publisher of games, but deemed that the game was too expensive to manufacture.
